Historical note |
In the first decades of the twentieth century, Tennessee made efforts to erect healthier, more modern school buildings. It hoped to more competently manage and supervise schools, consolidate them, obtain better trained teachers, and provide for student transportation. Bucks Chapel School was a black school in Crockett County which did not receive Rosenwald Fund assistance. |
