Historical Note |
After moving to Nashville in 1884, Taylor became minster of the Gay Street Christian Church. He established Greenwood Cememtery in 1888, Nashville's second oldest cemetery for blacks. Taylor helped establish the Tennessee state Agriculture and Industrial State Normal College. He is also responsible for the organization of the Natinal Colored Christian Missionary Convention. |
