Cased tintype of Pvt. James Lafayette Parham of Bledsoe County (Tenn.). Parham served in Co. A, 8th Tenn. Inf. Regt., USA. He joined the regiment in Huntsville, Scott County (Tenn.), on June 10, 1862. He mustered out on June 30, 1865, at Company; Shops (N.C.). According to his descendants, he lived in Linn (Mo.) after the war and was killed by renegade former Confederates. |
