Detailed instructions and a reconstructed elevation based on the original architect's contract. This courthouse, along with other structures on the court square, was burned on May 5, 1864 by Union troops under the command of Col. Sturgess. The architectural plan is a modern rendering based on these original instructions to the architect contained in the contract. |
