Description |
Kimbrough is pictured in his Confederate infantry uniform and wheel cap. He raided into Ohio with Morgan's cavalry command, was captured early and paroled. Kimbrough changed his name after being captured a second time. Subject appears to have served in Co. G and H, 3rd Tenn. Inf. (Brown's) Regt. He later joined the 7th Ky. Cav., CSA, and may have also served in Ashby's 2nd Tenn. Cav. He was captured in 1862, took the oath, violated his oath, and joined the 7th Ky. for certain. |
