Copy photo of Pvt. Ferdinand Berry, Co. B., 1st (Feild's) Tenn. Inf. Regt., CSA. Berry is wearing his uniform and kepi with a "B" cap device. The soldier holds a Model 1855 US rifle musket at his side. Berry was born in 1841 in Nashville. He died in 1862 in Knoxville, probably of pneumonia. Family historian believes that Berry likely died on his way to Shiloh. |
