Sgt. T. J. Doss served in Co. F, 32nd Tenn. Inf. Regt., CSA. He received the Southern Cross of Honor from the Giles Co. 257 UDC and applied for a Confederate pension. At his request, he was buried with his body aligned north-south at New Zion Cemetery, Giles Co., Tenn. Sgt. Doss was one of four Doss brothers who served in the Confederate army during the Civil War. |
