Confederate veteran, John Wesley Tucker, seated with his wife, Cynthia Ann Tucker, by his side. Tucker was a captain in Frank Maney's Tennesse Light Artillery Company which was attached to Colo Heiman's Brigade. His left hand was amputated at thewrist and his right arm was amputated at the shoulder. The surgeon was Dr. Johnson from Chapel Hill. The Tuckers were married on May 15, 1891, and had 4 children. Mrs. Tucker was denied a widow's indigent pension in 1913. |
