Description |
Hotel tap bell. This bell is reported to be the same style bell as the bell used at the Galt House in Louisville, Kentucky, during the Civil War. The Galt House was a meeting place for Federal generals during the Civil War. Brig. Gen. Jefferson C. Davis shot Federal Gen. William "Bull" Nelson at the Galt House on September 29, 1862.
