Enlisted in Company E, 18th Infantry, May 29, 1861, at Camp Cheatham. He was captured at Fort Donelson, February 16, 1862, and sent to Camp Butler prisoner of war camp in Illinois. He was paroled and was killed at New Hope Church on May 16, 1864. He was 18 years old. Gold-framed tintype of a soldier holding knife and rifle. |
