Historical note |
Lietutenant Alfred C. Williams served in Company F of the 13th Regiment Tennessee Volunteers, USA. The native of Stoney Creek in Carter County was mustered in with the organization of the company on September 22, 1863, and achieved the rank of 2nd Lieutenant before resigning on September 26, 1864. His approximate age was 41, and he had experienced ill health throughout his military service. He later died in Elizabethton on August 28, 1900. |
