Historical Note |
Christopher Ammons was born in Norfolk, Virginia, on April 18, 1948. He enlisted in the Army on June 1, 1967, and served with the 1st Infantry Division and later with the 194th Military Police Company. Chris began his service as a replacement after the as a replacement after the Tet Offensive and patrolled the Iron Triangle during his 1st tour. He briefly returned to the US in 1968 and was stationed at the armory in Fort Bragg. He returned to Vietnam as an MP in 1969. |
