Description |
A young soldier, whom Ammons believes to be named Clark, at the signal base on Vung Chua Mountain. He is in a camouflage-green helmet and wears a flak vest over his uniform. Stacks of sandbags can be seen behind him near the entrance to a bunker. |
Historical Note |
Christopher Ammons was born in Norfolk, Virginia, on April 18, 1948. He enlisted in the Army on June 1, 1967, serving with the 1st Infantry Division and later with the 194th Military Police Company. He served two tours in Vietnam, 1967-1968 and 1969-1970. |
