Description	This page includes a mock certificate or award that Mitchener has given to himself for winning the "So You Want to Lead the Band" quiz program. The certificate reads"Saturday Nite Jamboree - This is to Certify that Hardy A. Mitchener is Hep to Musical Knowledge." He has included names of the so-called "Flying Syncoptors" including Wally Steck, Jerry Leichtman, Jose Gonzales, Mot Williams, Eli Bine, Garry Thomas, Ed Powell, Al Williams, Hervey Stetson, Bill Mather, Chet Butcher, Bob Allen, and others.

Historical note	Hardy A. Mitchener, Jr. was captured as a POW in Germany after a bombing raid during World War II. He was sent to Stalag Luft III, the prison camp made famous by the failed "Great Escape" that took place before Mitchener arrived. In order to fight boredom, depression, and uncomfortable living conditions, the men at the camp devised recreational activities such as music and theatre. They were provided with YMCA instruments, and established orchestras with names such as the "Sagan Serenaders."
