Historical Note	The Manufacturers' Record was the leading business journal in the South during this time period. Editor Richard H. Edmonds sought to promote capital investment in the South and industrialization and used this paper as a tool. Killebrew was a regular contributor to this publication and, for the last eight years of his life, served on the editorial staff of the Southern Farm Magazine, also published by the Manufacturers' Record Publishing Co.
