Historical note |
The brigades of the Tennessee State Guard were formed in May of 1942 as a result of a reorganization. The First Brigade was comprised of the First (Memphis) and Fifth (Jackson) Regiments. The Second Brigade was comprised of the Second (Nashville), Seventh (Cookeville), and Tenth (Pulaski) Regiments. The Third Brigade was comprised of the Third (Kingsport) and Sixth (Chattanooga) Regiments. The brigade headquarters were Memphis, Nashville, and Knoxville, respectively. |
