Article appearing under the title of "Agricultural Society in Middle Tennessee" in the May 1, 1838, issue of the "Tennessee Farmer" conveys the importance of not only agricultural organization on the county level, but on the state level as well.
Original printed pink wrappers with illustrated front wrap. Rear wrapper has illustrations of the manufacturer's factory, several drills produced by the manufacturer, and medals won at various exhibitions. Black and white illustrations throughout.
Saber from Nashville Plow Works. Confederate copy of 1840 U. S. saber which is itself a copy of a French saber. The saber has "C. S. A." as a part of the casting and has the original scabbard.
