Historical Note |
The Presidental Palace was designed by Cuban architect Carlos Maurui and was inaugurated in 1920 by President Mario Garcia Menocal. It remained the Presidential Palace until 1959, when Fulgencio Batista was ousted by the Cuban Revolution. Following the revolution, the palace became the Museum of the Revolution. |
